Elon Musk tweeted that he bought dogecoin for his son, sparking a 16% surge in the 'meme' coin.

Billionaire Elon Musk sparked another spike in Dogecoin on Wednesday after he tweeted to his 46 million followers that he bought some for his 9-month old son, X Æ A-Xii.

Dogecoin surged as much as 16% following the tweet, spiking from $0.069 to $0.08.

This doesn't come as a surprised, though some doubted Musk would actually buy any dogecoin. I guess he is putting his money where his mouth is. In his subsequent tweets, Musk wrote "Dogecoin is people's crypto" and "No highs, no lows, only Doge".
